Thimbleweed park (game)

Thimbleweed park is a new upcoming game from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.
I am a huge fan of adventure games and also other people like Mark Ferrari and David Fox who makes this game with them.
As a Fan and 3D Artist, I have decided to create a Fan Art based on Mark Ferrari's pixel art in-game image and re-create it to HD version. Final version is 8000 pixels / 300dpi.
This process of creation is pretty much same as I did for the Fate of Atlantis Special Edition.
Everything is pre-modeled in 3D Software with lighting, shadows, atmospheric effects and final touches are done in post-production. (not much touches has been made, though)
If it was for actual game, I would have to crop out layers and separate animated and interactive objects. This image has been also dedicated to my brother! and all fans of Thimbleweed park game!

Progress 1
Setting up perspective, scale, resolution and starting modeling. Then quick color face and re-positioning of the Radio tower in background. Tower was very important for good depth in the scene.
 Progress 2
Playing with shaders, color variations, hills and testing grass. The grass is super heavy and takes a while to render, but I was using 10 boxxes render farm, so it took couple minutes. Then adding cold colors to make the fog more believable and some trees silhouettes in background. Glowing neons, better grass, cold feeling and low density fog.
 FINAL
Creating masks for grass density and position. Adding more fog layers. Hand painted clouds in the sky and flowers in the foreground. I tried to keep warm colors just for the radio station, which breaks nicely the cold look in background. Then fireflies and love. :)
